Lailatul Qadr - when is it? In general, it is agreed that it is most likely to be in the last ten nights of Ramadan, with the odd nights being more likely. Of the odd nights, the night of the 27th (which is the night before the 27th of Ramadan, for the Islamic day starts with nightfall) is most likely. Imam Shafi`i said that it is most likely to be the 21st, then the 23rd, then the 27th

Night of 21st is - 20.09.2008
Night of 23rd is - 22.09.2008
Night of 27th is - 26.09.2008
So as a muslim, please try to take a chance by doing the 'ibadah' to Allah S.W.T. and always prays to Him hope we can find Malam Lailatul Qadar. May Allah bless us always and being a good servant to Allah so that Him will forgive the sins that we've done in the past.

Former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad wants former British premier Tony Blair out of Malaysia.

Through instigating the war in Iraq, he has killed more than (former Bosnian Serb leader) Radovan Karadzic and Saddam Hussein,"Saddam has been hanged, Karadzic was recently arrested but this man goes around the world, lecturing on the rule of law," he said, referring to Blair's lecture today on "Rule of Law and Good Governance" as the 22nd Sultan Azlan Shah Law Lecture, an annual event of Universiti Malaya since 1986.

The June 2010 transition plan for Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi to hand over to Datuk Seri Najib Razak was agreed upon to put an end to political uncertainty after the March 8 general election.

So, it was only right that a decision be made to put an end to all of this."I was upset that Abdullah Ahmad Badawi need to resign just for the sake of the people.Abdullah said the people wanted the government to concentrate fully on development and not about the politicial issue that never ended.

Breath right

Try tend to suck the air in and then hold on to it,instead of breathing smoothly to take a 'dynamic' breath in.To do so we need to engage the intercostals, the muscles that pull the ribs up and out.Inhaling like this can result in up to 30% more air entering the body. Then we have to drive the breath out. It's not about saving the breath, its about getting it out of the body powerfully and smoothly, and we use the abs to do so. We don't drive the air out of the body as well if our abs aren't in good shape. We need 3 daily excercises to anyone wanting to improve their breathing technique. We need raise our arms high above head and swing them downwards bending the knees.Straighten the knees again ,swinging the arms up above the head.Breathe out as we go down and in as you swing up. With downward swing,we're completely pumping all the breath out of our lungs, using the abs. With upward swing, you're opening the rib cage, using the intercostals

Reality and obligation in Ramadhan

During this Ramadhan do not let the sweetness of our deeds vansh into the night, leaving only emptiness. When one contemplates the texts on fasting, its wisdom and goals in Shariah, and looks at the reality of the Muslim communities, one realizes a wide gap between the reality and our obligations. Remember that Ramadhan is a bounty that Allah blessed His servants with, to strengthen their faith, and increase their piety (Taqwa). Allah said: "O you who believe! Fasting is prescribed for you as it was prescribed for those before you, that you may become pious." (Al-Baqarah 2:183). This article is an attempt to present the essential causes of this gap, and to some remedies. primary reason for the gap is ignorance about the goals of fasting and the wisdom behind it. Many Muslims ignore the purpose and wisdom of fasting. Fasting is done merely to conform to the social environmet without contemplation. If one is not aware of the divine wisdom of Shariah and its fruits in this world and in the hereafter, one will not apply it in the right way.

Goals of fasting

  • achieving taqwa
  • strengthning willpower and acquiring patience
  • fasting is pure worship

Anwar wins Permatang Pauh seat with 15671 majority

Datuk Anwar Ibrahim was won at Permatang Pauh with majority of 31,195 votes compare to BN with 15,524 votes. Actually I don't expect Datuk Seri Anwar will win at Permatang Pauh based on what he had done lately in the case of sodomy to Saiful his ex-personal assistant.Maybe he has strong influenced from outsider. After the case of sodomy had many people critic of his action to avoid himself from confess by swearing in the of Allah of his fault. From here,I noticed the vote that he will get before poll's day will decrease but I don't expect he won.

Goverment may lower fuel prices
theStar online

Putrajaya:The goverment is considering lowering retail fuel prices in line with falling global crude oil prices,Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi said.I think thats a good ideas especially for the sake of Malaysian's people. Before this we suffered because of the increasingly of crude oil.Maybe if the price was decrease it can reduce the burden.Abdullah said the goverment was conducting a study to find out if retail fuel prices can be brought down and would announce a decision at an appropriate time.Hope our goverment can manage this problem systematically,so that all malaysian's people will happy with the changing of fuel price.Although I'm not use my own transport but I feel pity to them if this problem can't solve properly.
